Lightnin' Strikes Me Nude

Lugee Alfredo Giovanni Sacco, known professionally as Lou Christie, is a singer-songwriter best known for the 1965 smash hit "Lightnin' Strikes." In 1971, in order to change his reputation as a Frankie Valli knock-off, he released a concept album called Paint America Love accompanied by this nude photo.

A classic paperback cover with an alarmingly large and unattractive penis photo, not to mention an unusually skinny left arm. But the real shocker is the 37% statistic mentioned on the cover!!! Who knew?

My guess that this paperback is a hard-hitting expose of life on the streets published in the late 1960s or the early 1970s. Either that or it's a pervy novel illustrated with black & white pictures of hippies with no clothes on. Either way, wish I owned a copy!
